3. As regards para. 2 of/telegram No. 377, we
propose to accept the Governor's view regarding
the salary for the post of Labour Commissioner.
4. As regards the increase of superscale
posts in the administrative service, which forms
the subject of telegram No.377, we propose to

reserve judgment and ask for further information
as in para. 2 (b) of the attached dra t telegram
to Hong Kong.
5. I now ask for your concurrence in
the draft telegram to Hong Kong.

but if you could let me have an early reply to my
letter of the 7th May about Matrons' salaries
